Hi there. I’m Rachel.
I’m a reporter, writer and TV producer based in New York, currently working as a segment producer for the Melissa Harris-Perry show on MSNBC, and I love it.
I’ve covered health care policy for Law360, a news wire read by lawyers and lobbyists, and I’ve also worked as a reporter for the political news site Talking Points Memo, the alt-weekly New Haven Advocate and several other small but scrappy publications. You can read more about that on my resume.
While you’re here, read some of my favorite stories about Islamophobia, the BP oil spill and the second-to-none corruption of Connecticut politicians. You can also watch some of the video reels I’ve edited.
- I am willing to bleed for a story. (Proof.)
- I’ve written more than 1,000 obituaries.
- You pronounce it “slay-duh.” There’s a good story there. I’ll tell you about it sometime.
